Mackey Normal Ring Hollow Mouth Snaffle (Thick)

The Hollow Mouth Loose Ring Snaffle has a much thicker mouthpiece than a normal jointed snaffle mouthpiece, which makes it a much milder bit.

This bit is good for horses with small tongues and lots of room in their mouth who do not like a large amount of contact on the bit. The thicker mouthpiece spreads more of the pressure applied by the reins over the bars of the mouth, the tongue, and the roof of the mouth than a thinner mouthpiece would, making the communication more subtle and gentle.

The loose rings allow the horse to move the bit around in their mouth with their tongue, which can encourage them to relax its jaw and increase salivation.
